Differentiation Strategies for Students Learning Descriptive Adjectives
Brain Work!
Brain work is the name of the group for the 5 students who answered most, including the most difficult, of the pre-assessment questions correctly
In this group station the students will be playing a grammar practice game on the computer and be able to earn points and move to more difficult grammar and vocabulary practice.
Once and if they have finished with this activity they have to begin with a descriptive adjective project where they create a story book. They can choose to pair up or work on this task individually. They have to make sure that they use as many descriptive adjectives in their storybook.
They can also create their own descriptive adjective board game if the storybook project is not interesting.

Let's Practice
Let's Practice is the name for the 12 students who have some knowledge about the topic as shown in their score, but need to develop higher order thinking skills
In this group station I will provide the students with a descriptive adjective worksheet for them ready to get some extra practice.
Once done with this activity they have to continue on with a role-play activity where they have to act out a scene and practice using descriptive adjectives
If role-playing is not something they are interested in , then they will have the option to create a comic book!
Let's talk it over!
Lets talk it over is for the 5 students who appear to have limited knowledge about the topic, of which 3 are struggling with language and are at different reading levels and 2 students who have little to no comprehension of the the topic and need to be tested further for special needs
In this group station I will talk more with the students about the different types of adjectives and show them examples by providing visuals and songs to hear that can help them understand better.
They will also create flashcards with drawings to help with visualizing descriptive adjectives.
