Grammar area
Using the words "used to" and "would" to tell a story about a previous holiday.
Play a game of pictionary where the students have to answer the drawing with the proper use for the words I "used to" and I "would"
For example the students would draw two things, one has to be answered with "used to" and one has to be answered with "would". For example if a Hong Kong flag is drawn and then a market was drawn the answer would be: When I used to live in Hong Kong I would go to the wet market. :check:
This lets the students apply their knowledge of how to tell the difference between the two and how to use it effectively.
