Types of Bone cells
Osteoblasts: Main function is to create the extracelluar matrix. The bone matrix will harden with minerals and eventually create osteocytes.

Osteogenic Stem Cells: Locate in periosteum and endosteum. Function is to produce osteoblasts and more stem cells.
Osteoclast: Composed from several leukocytes, multinucleate and have microvilli. Located in endosteum and periosteum.
The microvilli help to secrete enzmes that breakdown bone tissues. The release inorgain product frees calcium and phosphorus and goes to the bloodstrem, the organic is taken by osteoclasts and broken down.
Fibrous Joints
Syndesmosis
Joint held together by a ligament composed of dense regualar coneective tissue.
Located in the distal tibiofibular joint.
Little to no movement.
Suture

Fontanelles- also know as the soft spot is a membrane between crainal bones before the come together completely.
Gomphosis
Peg-in-socket joint. The connecting liagament is a peridontal ligament
Located where the tooth meets mandiable and maxilae.
Immoveable.
Cartilaginous Joints
Synchodrosis
Composed of hyaline cartilage.
Located in epihyseal plates and connection of the first rib and manubruim.
Immobile
Symphysis
Composed if fibrocartilage and hyaline cartilage.
Located in the pubic symphysis of the pelvis and intervertebral discs.
Slightly moveable.
