Once he came back to his kingdom he was able to find other survivors and some actually planned a revolution against the Western kingdoms. He told this survivors he can free this country himself but if they wanna join they can come with him now. All these people are pissed at him at the moment as how can he say that when he ran away but, they can sense that this wasn't the same man from the stories they heard. Thus after announcing his name and his purpose he massacred every single one of his enemies as even an entire army cant beat a demigod.

Tests, Allies, Enemies: Results of teachings
After a couple of months his training was barely complete but he could no longer wait and he set out on his own. Along the way that the old seer told him he found beings from myth. He didn't even have time to be surprised as he was to preoccupied reaching Bakunawa. Some of this beings he became friends with some became his enemies.
Approach: The Moon Eater
As he became aware that he was near Bakunawa he dove in under the sea to communicate with the sleeping serpent. Once again he felt small and powerless compared to this being. But he wanted this and he will never again turn his back.

Ordeal,Death and Rebirth: Power Overwhelming
As he attempted to communicate with Bakunawa it spoke to him and asked what is it he wanted. He answered " I want you to give me power to fulfill my wish.". The serpent laughed at him for his straightforward answer and he agreed to give him power as long he doesn't die in the process. Power surged through him as he felt his body burning in within the sea and a mark of a serpent has started to form on his skin.Losing consciousness he saw a light seemingly beyond reach and he fainted. He then washed up on shore with a mark of a serpent on his left arm and with that he was given power due to Bakunawa's mercy.

Road Back: Halfway back
As he was going back nearing his kingdom he was ready to accept his people's rage once they are freed even by his own hands, he was halfway there.
