Decision Making Process
Step 1: Identify the decision to be made
Where Will I Go To College?
Step 2: Gather information and examine
Number 1 Option: Coastal Carolina
Information about Coastal: #1: It's close to the beach, #2: Has a good biology program #3: Beautiful Campus and Dorms
Step 3: Identify Possible Alternatives
1: College of Charleston #2: Greenville University #3: Notre Dame
Step 4: Evaluate the Consequences of Each Alternative (Pros and Cons List)
College of Charleston: Pros- At the beach, Beautiful Campus, Safe I think Cons- Far from home, Not close to Myrtle Beach , Expensive
Greenville University: Pros- Same college as my brother, Super Safe, Close to home Cons- Not at the beach, Expensive
Notre Dame: Pros- Nice Campus, Kinda close to home Cons- Expensive, Large
Step 5: Choose the Best Alternative
Greenville University: I think this would be the best alternative for me because I will be close to home and to my brother. I also know that although it may be expensive they have amazing scholarships for GPA and ACT scores that I would get. I will act on this by applying to the the school and applying for as many scholarships as I can.
Step 6: Evaluate the Results
I will evaluate my results by looking at how many scholarships I get and what the other schools would have gave me and where I end up going.
