What makes fast food unhealthy?
sodium - excessive sodium increases blood pressure which increases risk of heart attacks, heart failure, and sudden cardiac death.
high calories - consuming high calories can lead to weight gain.
trans fat - trans fat raises your (LDL) bad cholesterol levels and lowers your good (HDL) cholesterol levels.
How is fast food made? How do these methods make it unhealthy?
deep-fried/pan-fried - the oils that foods absorb in contain large amounts of fats (saturated/trans).
microwave - certain foods are full of chemicals, only requiring them to be heated. microwaves strip nutrients, and create carcinogens which increases risk in cancer
