Weebly I used Weebly as an online presentation tool to create my blog. It contains all of my research, analysis, planning and production and will be where I showcase this section of my CCR. I used Weebly for my coursework last year and am very comfortable with the layout and presentation style. In regards to my minor or ancillary tasks, I also used Weebly for the creation of my artist website. I am confident that this enabled me to use layouts that successfully represent an artist of my genre.
-
Instagram This would be used to give the online fanbase for my artist exclusive content that gives them a closer personal connection to Darren Hall. For example, a photo could be posted a few hours before a concert to increase excitement.
-
Twitter would be used as an alternative online method for advertising my artist. As my artist is indie and not considered 'well known' I would aim to target different aspects of social media to attract as many consumers/audiences as possible, therefore increasing sales and gross revenue. It also fits within my socio economic demographic as B to C1 groups are wealthy enough to afford handheld electronics and laptops, which could contain twitter.
-
Facebook I used Facebook to advertise some of my songs online. It was also used to gather feedback on the drafts of my video. Also, I would plan for my artist to advertise his latest albums, via teasers of his digipak or music video to increase the hype around himself, and as a method for an effective viral marketing strategy.
-
Youtube I used youtube to upload my music video drafts online, as well as my final product. Youtube would also provide a way for my artist to make a profit from running ads on the videos. It can also help increase awareness as my target audience is of the technological generation meaning they will be proficient with technology and using youtube often, increasing the likelihood they will come across and watch my artist's music video.
-
Prezi I used Prezi as an online tool to do the second question of my CCR. This detailed how I used cross-platform branding to increase the uniqueness of the image of my artist. It provided me with an outstanding presentation technique and the ability to showcase my products effectively. I also found that moving slides are more engaging and I am comfortable on Prezi having used it before.
-
Google Forms was used online to create several surveys on branding, the name of the artist and even to determine the genre and style of my music video (performance, narrative or mixed). It is a simple way to get as many audience opinions and feedback as possible from my classmates who are my target audience. Google forms also create a clear graphical result that shows the popularity of each question which makes for quick and easy decision making and result analysis.

Audio-Technica AT898 Lavalier Microphone with AT8537 Power Module will be hardware used to record the sound as I film. I will be lip-synching/acting along to the song playing and this audio will help me piece shots together correctly when editing, and will not be heard in the final product.
-
Manfrotto tripod (hardware) This enables me to ensure static camera shots are steady, and for smooth pans and tilt shots. It was used in some of the garden footage, for example when we see the male lead challenging the other male (training by the punching bag) to a fight as an introductory theme to the video.
-
Canon 600d will be my primary filming camera (hardware). The visual quality is great with options to film from 1080 to 4k and it is really easy to use. I already have some experience with it so I am comfortable with being able to get the shots I want.
-
This is the DJI Osmo Mobile Handheld Stabilised Gimbal Camera (hardware) which I will use for dynamic video footage, as well as for tracking shots, for example from behind following a character as they travel through space. It can also be used for transition shots, as it can swivel evenly being controlled by a phone. In my video, this was used for most of the close up fighting footage such as tracking shots because of the great stabilisation of the camera.
-
Final Cut Pro has been used in editing since July 23rd, 2009. It was developed by Apple and is currently one of the biggest post-production softwares in the market. The software has the capability to produce a Hollywood film and is considered one of the most user-friendly. I used it to add some of the final touches to my music video and a variety of effects, such as the security camera feed which is seen in the opening two lines of the song.
-
Premier Pro remains the top-rated post-production software on the market. The process is described as straightforward and simple to use. However, this is only available to me on the school system. It's got all the features to create a feature-length film and was sufficient in providing some of the smaller edits and transitions in my music video.
-
iMac and Mac Pro I used this hardware to edit at school and at home. I am very comfortable with Apple technology which made the project run smoothly.
-
The iPhone X (hardware) is the latest camera technology and has incredible 4k filming quality. It was this that led me to shoot three of my shots on an iPhoneX as a secondary angle. This was used for the transition shots of punching into the camera and then pulling back as a different person and the slow-motion punch at the beginning of the second chorus.
-
iMovie (software) was used for the first and second draft of my music video. I found it incredibly simple to do the larger edits, for example, deciding which shot to use and lining up the timing of my lipsynching which shows the emotions of the artist. However, it was not professional enough for my final product and it was then transferred to Final Cut for more precise final edits and effects and Premier Pro for transitions.
-
I used Custom Ink to make online merch which you can see on my artist website. This was time-consuming but created great results which are available both on my blog and artist website. Because of the versatility of the program, I was able to incorporate my sense of artist branding into my merchandise which is available on my blog and artist website.
-
Coggle is the online mindmap presentation tool I am using for this fourth question of my creative critical reflection. I find Coggle super easy to work with, and the friendly colour scheme makes the presentation seem creative, and appealing.
-
Anchor is an online podcast creation tool that I used for question three of my CCR. Anchor is easy to use and can distribute, host, and monetize a podcast. The reason I used anchor is that it enabled me to embed my podcast into my Weebly site, through the embed code tool available on Weebly and generated by Anchor.
-
I used Adobe Photoshop(software) as I have already learnt to use it during last year's print coursework. I am therefore reasonably comfortable and assured that this was the best choice for the creation of my digipak. Photoshop is very widely known and easily has enough tools for me to create an effective digipak. Using Photoshop required some work as I did not fully understand how to use all the effects I wanted. However, after teaching myself these effects I am very pleased with my end result and believe it would be successful as a real-life digipak.
-
Seesaw (online) was used to get feedback from my teachers on the first draft of my music video. It is a tool that enables a class to communicate and comment on each other's posts. This was useful for me as I got opinions from my classmates who fit within my target demographic . I also gained advice from two media teachers, which helped me to achieve a higher level of professionalism in my work.
-
Hardware- physical technology that I used to create my products on. Examples of hardware include camera, tripod, land iMacs
Software I used consists of downloaded materials such as apps that allow for editing such as Final Cut, iMovie and Premier Pro
Online - details several websites I used in the creation of my projects. Examples of online resources include Prezi, Social Media and Youtube
