Skin Lesions
Lesion
A change in tissue as a result of injury or disease
Crust
or scab, collection of dried blood and cellular debris that forms over an injury
Macule
a small, flat spot whose color is different than the surrounding skin
Nodules
Solid lesions that are larger than 0.5 cm
Scales
Excessive shedding of the outer layer of the epidermis
Papules
Solid lesions that are smaller than 0.5 cm
