Most of the Greasers are tough looking people. Often Greasers will wear well oiled and greased hairstyles slicked back in a undercut style. Most greasers are fairly lean and they don't eat much, but have a good amount of muscle on them

The Socs often wore madras shirts or tan jackets and wore there hair clean shaven, almost with a hairstyle influenced by the Beatles. The Socs were very wealthy and often drove Mustangs and Corvairs around

Eye colours
The description of eyes in this novel is used to describe both the personality of that person and the relationship Ponyboy has with that person
"Stay gold"
Johnny tells Pony in his last seconds to stay gold. He wants Pony to never change and stay true to himself. The sad way to look at this is through Robert Frost's eyes and look at this is through his poem 'Nothing can stay gold'. This poem is read out in the church in Windrexville by Johnny and it means that all good things must come to an end
