The Hearth and the Salamander
The hearth is a symbol that is commonly known as home, and a salamander is an official symbol of firemen, so it relates to Montags life
Blood
Blood appears many times throughout the book and always relates to a depressed human soul. From Guy not knowing which decision to make, to Mildred not being affected or changed by anything in her life
The Sieve and the Sand
As a child, Guy filled a sieve with sand to try and get a dime from his cousin, so on the subway he reads the Bible as fast as he can so he doesn't forget the memory
The Phoenix
Grangers thinks of mankind as a phoenix that burns itself, and rises out of the ashes after they bombed the city. This symbol is supposed to symbolize the rebirth of mankind as well as Guy's spirit
