The Original Illustrated SHERLOCK HOLMES by Arthur Conan Doyle

Doyle has Holmes and Watson consistently argue about the way Watson portrays their adventures. He wishes that he not exaggerate or add flair at all.
-
-
Describes Holmes as the, "most perfect reasoning and observant machine"

The central theme in, "The 37 Short Stories of Sherlock Holmes", is the value of truth over fiction. This is quite ironic with it being a fictional book. Doyle does a very good job of presenting this across EVERY story while some of the other possible themes are not consistent across all 37.

Used "ejaculated" to describe words coming out of his mouth. This is my teenage boy humor coming out

In every story Sherlock shows his power of deductive reasoning and how easy it is as long as you observe every situation thoroughly and pay attention to the situation. He almost belittles people when explains how he knows the things he did.
Told through the viewpoint of Dr. John Watson, Holmes' partner.
