Types of Bias
Descriptive Bias - e.g. when a manager doesn't know what an employee is actually like, so they fill in the knowledge gap with descriptive stereotypes
Prescriptive Bias - e.g. when a women is called "brusque" or "uncaring" because they have broken their prescribed norms and claimed a traditionally male position
Implicit Bias - i.e when a manager favours someone without realizing it
