การเปรียบเทียบขั้นธรรมดา (Positive degree)ในการเปรียบเทียบของสองสิ่งที่เท่ากันหรือเหมือนกันทุกประการ โดยคำคุณศัพท์ที่ใช้เปรียบเทียบในขั้นธรรมดานี้จะไม่มีการเปลี่ยนรูปหรือเติมคำใด ๆ หลัง adjective นั้น ๆ
