Self Disclosure

What is it?
Definiton: the act of sharing information that others would not not or discover normally. Often leaves you vulnerable.
Functions: Gaining information about the other person. Will usually lead to reciprocation, or where the other person responds in kind by giving information about themselves as well.
Risks: Someone might not respond favorably apon disclosing said information, and can damage the relationship. Can also give the other person power within that relationship.

Personal Paragraph: I connected to the parts about the reasons for disclosing because theres a lot of stuff im into that wouldnt be considered normal (at least during my more developmental years) and being able to disclose stuff and have the other person except it is a really nice feeling
