Chapter 32
Zoomorphism is when animal characteristics are assigned to humans. This is the opposite of anthropomorphism (when animals are described as human)
He foreshadows how when he is on the boat, changes the humans to animals
Well, since you asked, it's when one animal takes another to be its own kind. Like humans keeping dogs. Or, earlier, Pi talked about rhinos and goats living together. Pi gives us some more examples.

Chapter 35
-
Pi was on a very diverse ship. The ship was Japanese, the officers were Taiwanese and it was transporting Indians and animals. This is very important because it helps us look at the circumstances Pi was in and how it affected his responses.
We can use both, the ship that Pi was on and his emotions of his departure to tell us what is Pi's attitude towards adversary. For example:
Pi lived a pretty sheltered life and when he left Pondicherry he experienced a huge heart break. Then on the ship of strangers we see how Pi is forced to grow up and not rely on others. And when he becomes shipwrecked it becomes a true test of character
Chapter 36
Pi's family:
Wife:
Pi's wife is seen as a peaceful soul. Someone who brought order and peace to the chaos in Pi's life. She represents the tiger who kept Pi somewhat sane and helped him through the journey.
Son:
Pi's son is seen as a younger version of Pi himself. An energetic boy who is full of life and an attitude that allows him to live life to the fullest. He helps represent Pi after the shipwreck
Daughter:
Pi's daughter is Pi before he leaves for Canada with his family. The shy, innocent and curious Pi that embarked on the journey.
