Who?
Students in any classroom who are old enough to understand the meaning and purpose of attending church.
Students in my classroom.
Students from my church parish.
Teachers who teach in Catholic schools.
Parents of students who send their child to a Catholic school and want them to learn about their Catholic faith.
How?
Integrating technology:
With social media, the church can reach their congregants where ever they are. Keeping the young parishioners notified on what is happening in the church.
Having
youth groups
for the young parishioners. Youth groups provide students the opportunity to learn more about their faith and be more involved in the church community.
Providing youth the opportunity to be
more involved
in the organization of school and church masses.
Having
homilies
that are relevant to youth's lives. The information provided can be applied to the students' lives. This would be the responsibility of the priest.
When
teaching religion
in school highlighting the importance of attending church. (Psalm 92:13 "For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house.
They flourish in the courts of our God.").
Having the
priest attend school events
.

Why
The church attendance has reduced throughout the years.
It is our jobs as Catholic teachers to promote the importance of attend church.

Matthew 18:20 "For where two to three gather in my name, there am I with them." This bible verse states the importance of attending Church, since God will be there for them.
