Multi-literacies & Multimodal Learning
Today in class i personally struggled with trying to stay awake in class. However from what i gather in our discussions is the importance of multimodal learning and what it may look like. From what i remember, we really emphasized the different modes such as expression: which i found the most important. from what i have seen in the past, different uses of expression through auditory cues or even physical movement has been very beneficial for students. For example, reading can have a multimodal learning technique through auditory ways such as making different voices or making noises to bring emphasize. For movement, acting out different scenes such as different events in history or plays have also been beneficial for students.

Students learn in many different ways, s o it is important to present content and let children present learning in a variety of ways. Students may use dramatization, technology or writing to express the same content they learned. Showing children how different way learning can be done and letting them experiment will help guide them into their own knowledge.

Experience Based Exploration of Literacy Practices
Practicum Experiences
Planning a unit for a classroom gave me more practice and experience using multiple subjects in one lesson. this experience helped me see how many objectives and standards could be brought together in a cohesive manner to teach students throughout the day.
Internal and external learning. Constructivism v. constructionism
Working inside of the classroom this semester opened up my eyes more to the everyday life of classroom time. So much planning and structure goes into every aspect of the day down to transition time from lessons to taking a bathroom break. I never fully understood how much time goes into making sure the small things run smoothly, but this semester really helped me get a better understanding of it.
Teach and Reflect- Literacy Education

. After reading this article, i thought it is important how it mentions we as teachers must emphasize and physically practice what we preach. To be culturally responsive, the article states we must reflect culture values and expectations with our students and their family's both in and outside the classroom.
Literacy education run through all lessons in the classroom. Science math and reading all have aspects of literacy inside of them which is why it is so important to teach children reading strategies. Creating my unit plan really helped bring this to light because of how many cross overs i saw throughout
