communication- a coach needs to have good communication by being loud and clear to make sure you can teach tennis by being clear and also different types of communication is important like verbal, non-verbal and listening to players. they are one on one with one another, which means they need to be clear
organisation- a coach needs to be organised when planning training sessions and also having the right equipment. Also a coach should organise what weaknesses to train on for a tennis player.
confidence- a coach needs good confidence to motivate their players into achieving their goals. it also important because it will give a positive attitude to the players and will also mean the coach is training them correctly.
subject knowledge- a tennis coach needs knowledge of the sport to be able to teach it to other trainers and also to make strategies for a player in a game. they need to set goals for their trainers.
understanding of group- a tennis coach needs good understanding of the group to know their players strengths and weaknesses and this will help a coach plan sessions to improve weaknesses. tennis coaches should know if the players have a special tactic and should listen to their players ideas like to swing more backhands shots as they might be more effective.
differences in characteristcis- tennis coaches communicate with players one on one which is more easier and it is important that the tennis coach has a variety of ways of communicating like with symols, whereas for football coaches, they are communicating with 11 players in a game and will need to be loud as football pitches are way bigger than tennis courts.

An example of characteristics is professionalism. the trainer needs to be a professional trainer to have a good understanding and give the performer a better outcome.
great communication skills is a good characteristic to have to be a good personal trainer this is because they need to be able to communicate with the individuals for them to know what to do and if they are doing something wrong they will be able to explain what they are doing wrong and what they can do to make it better.

Another example of characteristics is motivation. the performer will need to fell motivated to put hard work into the sessions. if you yell at them they will have reason to work harder.
