Lymphatic System

Functions:
runs next to the blood vessels & removes excess fluid from the interstitial space returning it to the blood

Thoracic Duct:
from the left side of the head, left arm, left side of the chest, the entire abdomen & both of the legs into the left subclavian vein
Right Lymphatic Duct:
drains fluid from the Right side of the head, right arm, & right side of the chest & into the right subclavian vein

temp increases, chemical reaction speeds up which helps our defense mechanisms

Saliva: enzyme of lysozyme, destroys bacteria cell walls
