Sublime is an aesthetic ideal charactherized by greatness, fear and actraction with pleasure feeling, in front of nature. We can "feel" the sublime in front of hurricanes, volcanoes, thunders, ecc... It's a tipical characteristic of romanticism, born in the second half of the 18th century thanks to Edmund Burke. Sublime is antiethical to beauty ecause the first is boundless and formless and the secondo one is based on the form of the object. Kant distinguishes two forms of sublime.
