Group 0: The noble gas
They are non-metals
All colourless gas
The name 'noble' arises because of their stable(noble) properties chemically
All exist as monotomic atoms
Melting and boiling point increases down the group( in degree celcius)
Neon: Melting: -247 Boiling: -246
Argon: Melting: -189 Boiling: -186
Helium: Melting :-270 Boiling: -269
Density increases down the group
Neon: 0.9002 g/L
Argon: 1.784 g/L
Helium: 0.179 g/L
This trend has its uses, they can be breath in to create different pitch sound and is relatively save due to its inertness, but the denser gas should be avoided as it displaces oxygen in the lungs, and could be fatal
They have many uses
Neon is used to make neon light
Argon is used in lamps to prevent the filiment from making contact with the oxygen and burn out
Helium is used to make floating ballons
They have valency and electronegativity of 0
Electronic configuration in the form of (a,b,c,.....,8(0))
