I find it hard to forgive others simply because I move on easily, before I have a chance to consider their perspectives. In the future, i hope to build on this skill, by practicing empathy for others and understanding motivations behind their actions. An example of a situation I could have handled with forgiveness would be when I got into a fight with my friend a year ago. It ended with both of us saying sorry, but to this day I have not forgiven her. I think that because I had said sorry just to move on, not because I was genuine, I assumed she apologized for the same reasons, and for that reason, I found it hard to forgive her. Now, putting myself in her shoes, I realize her perspective on our fight, and I have been able to forgive her for actions in the past.
