Project methodologies (Key words)l
Waterfall methodology
A lot of planning very early in the project;one direction from start to finish.
Implementation
new system is created
programming code
Testing
new system is checked
working correctly and contains no faults
give feedback
Design
look of the new system is created based on the project requirements
show the designs of the different screens
Evaluation
check that the new system
analysis
meets the project requirements
Analysis
what user want the system to be able to do
how much money is available for the project
the date for completion
Iterative methodology
It means that there is no clear way from beginning to end.
It reduces the amount of planning at the beginning and achieves the project faster.
Step:
Create the initial design → Present it to the client → Optimize it and consider customer feedback → Repeat the iterative process until the system is complete
PERT Chart
Used to plan when project tasks will be completed.
Arrows are then used to join the different nodes together to show the order in which the tasks will be completed,
Made up of different nodes
Gantt charts
It uses a different ‘block’ to indicate how much time each task will take
It is usually displayed along the vertical axis, and the amount of time is usually displayed along the horizontal axis of the graph.
Critical Path Charts
it is very similar to a PERT chart, because it also uses nodes for each task.
in a critical path diagram, each node shows more information
no just the task letter or number.
