Segment different email types with different domains. Ex. pulsesurvey.com could be used for sending Survey related cold emails. Or you can go one step further and setup something like ciosurveyreport.com and use it with smart messaging.

If running a drip sequence, in the very first email present the prospect with the option to unsubscribe + Request them to add your email to their address book or whitelist if they wish to continue receiving emails
Ensuring the SPF, DKIM and _DMARC records are all in place

Should be done via Amazon SES (Free upto 50,000 per month) or otherwise a service provider such as Sendgrid/Mailgun
-
Always add an additional link to a page that has notification settings or a direct link to turn the notifications off. Something like this:
Add a physical address of our office under ever email. This is to comply with anti spam laws and to maintain a healthy rating.
Add another section to the footer of the emails. To make sure you keep getting these emails, please add no-reply@pulse.qa to your address book or whitelist us.
Newsletters

Use a service such as another SES account with a separate domain setup and use something like Sendy as the frontend (cost effective + more control)
Side note - As a rule of thumb, always have app download as well as social links in the email signature
Encourage more signups via exit intent etc to have actual subscribers. Meanwhile Use bulk smtp for sending these to the email lists (For users who never subscribed for these, use a different domain + Server) OR Completely avoid cold newsletters
Again, have unsubscribe link, physical address + whitelist message in the footer
