Ordeal: Emerging from the car wreckage, was a shadow like creature, morphing into various people in his life, flashes of his old bullies, old friends, aunts, uncles, till the morphing glitches into the outlines of his father, then his mother before stopping when it was taking an outline of himself. The creature begins to mimic his voice, taunting him about secrets Emory had buried deep in his mind. It begins to morph again still in his image before a human emerged from it. To his horror, it was him but his face was too uncanny, smooth like porcelain.
The uncanny version of him begins to walk towards him from the car wreckage. He tries to retreat back into the brighter part of the path but finds the path on the way back was covered in trees, the creature crawls towards him, taunting him about his thoughts, why his mother died. It flashes back to the night his mother died, it turns out Emory's father has been seeing another woman who works with Emory's mother, this devastated her and she bottled up. Prompting her to eventually have an outburst, where that one night she takes Emory and fit of blind rage because of her husband's infidelity. They got in a car crash, killing his mother on impact, but he survived.
After the flashback, the creature was a foot away from him, before asking "What did you feel that night?". He gets a glimpse of the aftermath, the ambulance, the police finding him at the backseat. Before fazing back, to the creature slowly opening its mouth, it was a dark endless void, with his mother's voice echoing from its mouth. He tries to suppress his anger and grief, it shows that he tried bottling up his grief and sadness. It shows a flashback of his grandmother(his father's mother) dismissing him for crying for his mother when he'll have a newer mom who is more "stable" ( His father's mistress), then it shows various moments of people ranging from his relatives to stop being "wuss", and dismissing his feelings entirely. He snaps back into reality, seeing that the creature was an inch from him, telling him to bottle it up.
He stutters and tries to back away but was unable because the creature managed to freeze him in that position. The pressure in him building , as he was to have an emotion outburst. Everything was too much for him and he tries to bottle it up , because he keeps thinking if he managed to survive with it , then he could survive this , if not he believes that meeting his mother would be nice again. The creatures smile widely because it's exactly what it wanted, it begins to dig its nails into Emory's skin. He slowly turns to look like the creature before in the background hearing his mother's voice reassuring him back then when he was boy .
