Features: family doctors, 2 pharmacies (in NB pharmacists can prescribe some medications), no buses or taxis
What is is like?: Not a lot of resources. Hospital is 15 minutes away. No medical or after-hours clinics. Good proportion of both young and older generations.
Who is Healthy: Those who have education, transportation, support systems, adequate living conditions are healthy, those who qualify for Extra Mural (a service operated out of the hospital that has a mobile health care team that comes to your house)
Who lacks access?: Older adults who no longer drive and have no support system, anyone who does not have access to transportation, lower-income individuals, individuals who live "outback" and are not in walking distances of a pharmacy.
Future
More resources available (after-hours clinic, education, transportation to pharmacy, etc. for those who need it)
