Phenotype
An organisms physical traits, that can be seen on the body itself, decided by the genotypes.

homozygous
An organism that has 2 of the same allele, either two recessive alleles or two dominant alleles

Recessive
A word that describes traits and alleles, that are less likely to be present in an offspring, and only will be present if there are no dominant alleles.

Mendel
An Austrian monk who discovered dominant and recessive alleles, and some of the basic hereditary information.
Ex. Created the Law of Dominance, which states that if there are two different alleles, the one that shows up in an offspring is the dominant one.
Genotype
The genes of an organism, which decides what phenotypes an organism will have.
Ex. TT, two dominant alleles
heterozygous
An organism that has 2 different alleles, one dominant allele and one recessive allele.

A word that describes traits and alleles, that are more likely to be present in an offspring, and only won't be present when there are no dominant alleles.
