OUTCOMES
Student Group 2: "the 12 students who have some knowledge about the topic as shown in their score, but need to develop higher order thinking skills"
Students that reach average or just below the target words-per-minute standard for their grade level (2nd) with an accuracy rate of 70-80 percent. Students are still developing many phonological awareness skills, such as recognizing phonemes, syllables, and rhyme until now.
Monitoring Progress through Fluency and True/False:
Fluency assessment is a one-minute timed reading of a passage to measure the number and accuracy of words read and then answering true/false statements about the sentences to show comprehension. As students the sentences increase in complexity.
-
Student Group 3: "the 5 students who appear to have limited knowledge about the topic, of which 3 are struggling with language and are at different reading levels and 2 students who have little to no comprehension of the the topic and need to be tested further for special needs"
Students that reach below the target words-per-minute standard for their grade level (2nd) with an accuracy rate below of 70%.
Monitoring Progress: Students determined to have special needs that are below their grade reading level and need more basic review and further work in decoding, fluency, and vocabulary.

Monitoring Progress: Students determined to be ELL learners that need further language acquisition skills and language foundation in order to eventually move their proficiency levels up to grade level. This assessment will help to monitor and track English language learners progress in targeted language areas and skills. This will then help you identify the weakness and strength in each student so you can address the gaps in language development and plan instruction accordingly.

Student Grouping 1: "the 5 students who answered most, including the most difficult, of the pre-assessment questions correctly"
Students should reach the target words-per-minute standard for their grade level (2nd) with an accuracy rate of 90 to 95 percent
Monitoring Progress through Retelling stories:
This skill can assess how well students comprehend what is read with oral retelling. The assessment provides an in-depth analysis of a student's reading behavior and comprehension skills and is implemented when students have a strong decoding background and a wider range of vocabulary. Students can move up in Reader level as they pass each set of assessment for each book.
