ACHIEVEMENT
DC India’s first sports car, DC Avanti( priced at 35.93 lakh rupees). It is first Made-in-India sports car and was created with today’s youngsters in mind.
Dilip’s DYPDC Center for Automotive Research and Studies offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in automobile styling in Pune.
In 2003 Chhabria designed the gizmo-packed James Bond films staple Aston Martin DB-8. The model was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show the same year.
WORK
After completion of studies he worked for General Motors for a while,after which he moved to India.
In 2002, he was hired by the Kinetic Engineering Limited to design a limited edition scooter.
In 2006 he tied up with Exim Star of ETA Star Group to form a new company, DCStar to produce custom cars.

He then studied in the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, US. where he majored in transportation design.
FAMILY BACKGROUND
Dilip Chabria’s father ran an electronic manufacturing business where he was given a little space and an ultimatum of one month to do whatever he wants to. With a team of 3, he makes an indigenous design of a horn in the shape of a ring for Premier Padmini in the replacement market.

INTRODUCTION
Dilip Chhabria is a well known Indian car designer and the founder of DC Design. He designed and manufactured DC Avanti in 2012 which was essembeled in Pune is considered India's first sports car.
CONTROVERSIES
Kunda MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh, alias Raja Bhaiya, filed a police complaint against DC alleging that the car designer had accepted Rs 1.24 crore to modify a luxury van, but failed to deliver it on time.
