Genesis
Day3: and God said
Gather the lower waters
The waters were the seas
Into one place
There was only one ocean?
Let dry land appear
Land before was unseen and/or entirely wet
The land was called Earth
The waters he called seas
Let the earth sprout vegetation
Seems like he left it to the Earth "allowing" it to sprout.
Each seed grew its own kind
In the beginning (not before the beginning)
Created
Heavens
Earth
Without form
Void
Spirit of God was hovering above the waters
There were already waters?
Day1: And god said
Let there be light
God said it was 'good'
Was there bad already?
God separated light from darkness
Darkness and light were initially interspersed or mixed somehow?
The light he called day, the darkness night
Thus passed the first day
There was no day before.
Was the earth revolutionless?
Or was it so dark that light was absent on it?
Day 2: And god said
Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters
Indicates more than one water
And let it separate the waters from the waters
Is this expanse the sky?
There were waters above and under the expanse
And God called the expanse heaven
This heaven is different from the first?
If so, then there are many heavens.
If not the two heavens are the same
This heaven seems to be the sky, then He calls the sky as heaven
Day3: and God said
Lights in the expanse of the heavens
To separate day from night
The day and night were mixed
Let them be for signs and seasons
For days and years
