Statistical reports
Will tell you accurately how many people or what percentage of the population have a specific issue, e.g smoking or how many liked a product. No detailed responses or feedback simply how popular something is etc.
Questionnaires
Surveys have a wide sample size and varied response, cheap and quick. Cannot target specific groups and can be messed with.
Secondary research
You do not have to conduct your own research, you can simply use someone elses so is cheaper and easier. The data may be incomplete, contain unnecessary or unwanted data sets, may be inaccurate.
Data is raw information that humans cannot understand while information is processed data in a context.
Information is data processed in context. For example 5 is data and without context means absolutely nothing, but if you add five people than you have added a context to the number five meaning that the data can be applied to actual situations in a useful manner.
