The rainforest has 4 layers: Emergents, canopy, understory and forest floor.
(Emergents)- Tops and tallest trees. Many birds and insects live here and the emergents get the most sunlight.
(canopy)- Is the name given to the upper parts of the trees, this layer is full of monkeys, birds, insects and reptiles.
(understory)- is dark and cool. There are a few plants and a lot of beetles, snakes, lizards and small mammals.
(forest floor)- Darkest part of the rainforest. Teeming with animal life especially insects and spiders. The largest animals in the rainforest usually live here.
