The youth of yesterday, today, and tomorrow
Family of those incarcerated
Children of those incarcerated
Can be negatively impacted by the separation from their incarcerated parent(s) and need positive role models
Need to spend quality time with their parent during their parents incarceration (incarceration doesn't change a child's needs to have a loving supportive parent)
Trauma related to their parent's incarceration
Need a safe place and a healthy way to process their emotions stemming from their parent's incarceration and how to live with the stigma
Siblings of those incarcerated
Can positively impact other prisoners through ministry
Will have to deal with the emotions of having an incarcerated family member and the stigma
The youth who grow up to be men and women who commit an offense and are incarcerated
Needs to have a connection with their love ones during incarceration even though they miss their love ones' small and big milestones
Can be a part of cycle of mistakes by being a child of an incarcerated parent and be incarcerated as well. They do not want their children to be like them.
Trauma (domestic violence) and Self harm (i.e. drug addicts or alcoholics)
Can Understand the hurt they caused to their love ones and can use prison to reflect and think about where they go from where there are
Juveniles who commit an offense and enter the system
Can be the children of parents who were incarcerated or could have children who will be incarcerated
Peer pressure shapes decision making
Can be impacted by the courts and their juvenile case worker or parole officer
