In my home, there is a sitting/reading area which barely has any light source. Although there is some light in that area, there is very little. Therefore, it is very hard to read in that area at night, which defeats the purpose of having a reading area. To add to that, my family hasn’t been reading much at all because they can’t read there in the dark, and other parts of the household are too loud and distracting to read in. Lastly, since the reading area is very close to my room, I often use it as a study area. The low lighting often distracts me from completing my work, therefore having a detrimental affect on my grades. My mother wants a light source that can be placed in the reading area so that people will be able to read there when its dark.
