Description
During the preparation BAs need to identify what results the elicitation needs to produce, the techniques needed to achieve these results, establish elicitation logistics (organize surveys, etc) and identify support material needed.

4- Communicate Business Analysis Info
Description
BAs must communicate relevant information to stakeholders at the right time and in forms that meet their needs. Ensure tone, language and style are appropriate.
The BA must ensure that the communication was fully understood by the stakeholder. this is done by engaging with the stakeholder to receive agreement

Business
Analysis Information
Any BA information at any level. This information becomes an input when there's the need of communicating this to the stakeholders.
Purpose
Ensure stakeholders have a shared understanding of business analysis information

BA information is considered communicated when the target stakeholders have understood all of it's content and implications
2- Conduct Elicitation
Description
During this task, BAs will use elicitation techniques to gather information from stakeholders regarding the business and their needs. The three elicitation types are:
Collaborative, Research and Experiments.
Inputs
Elicitation Activity Plan
Includes planned elicitation activities, techniques, logistics, scope and available resources.
Purpose
Purpose is to draw, explore and identify information relevant to the change.
Outputs
Elicitation Results (Unconfirmed)
Captured information in a format that is specific to the elicitation activitiy
3- Confirm Elicitation Results
Inputs

Information capture during

Reflects captured information and confirms
that is relevant and useful as input for further work
Description
Is important to identify any problems and resolve them before resources are committed to using the information.
Results may be compared against their source or other elicitation results to ensure consistency.
Confirming results is a much less rigorous and formal review than what occurs during results analysis
Purpose
Check information gathered during elicitation session for accuracy and consistency against other information

Description
As different stakeholders have different roles and influences over the work product, the BA has to identify the stakeholder, confirm their roles and ensure that the right people participate at the right times.
The BA must constantly monitor stakeholders reactions towards the communication and determine if that will affect their involvement in the BA activities

Encourage stakeholders to work towards a goal
