- - - - alternation designs
      - phase designs: AB, ABA, ABAB
        
        simultanious replication designs
        --> multiple individuals start treatment at same time but only get compared against themselves during the ABAB shifts
        --> ithen the repeated measures can be compared to other individuals to see if they all get better at same time, cause if it happens righght after treatment its a big evidence that the treatment is working :3 !!
        
        sequential replication designs
        ---> same as above BUT onset of the next phase eg. From A to B happens at a different time point to rule out confoundign of time or external facctors e.g day of the week etcetc
        --> if the onset of gettign better after B phase started is the same across all individuals then we can be sure the treatment is working as intended and no confounders :D !!
