Understanding different perspectives
My Question to the delegates
My answer to the possible questions
Understanding their thoughts to the Discussion Question, "How might influential groups in South Korea work together to mitigate climate change?"
My rebuttals/ attacks to the delegates
Even so you guys claim that you are working hard, why is the gas rate increasing instead of decreasing since 2013?
Representatives of south Korean large buisness, Hyundai
Aiming to persuade the delegates to think the same way as me, and to attack the delegates on what they have stated before
Aiming for the delegates to understand the perspective of the South Korean government and to make other delegates feel weak
Aiming to answer the possible questions, and to be prepared for un-prepared questions
Aiming to understand their perspectives of other delegates and to be a cooperative South Korean government
Restating the fact that the test of the amount of gas produced for each large businesses in South Korea, one of our targets was Hyundai. Hyundai has shown a great development in following areas: innovation, sustainability, and financial needs. Sadly, Hyundai hasn't showed a lot of different between the amount of gas produced since 2013.
Q. What are the actions South Korean government has been taking?
A. Currently ministry of enviornment has been maintaining Paris Agreement South Korea has been signed to and Practical laws South Korea has commanded starting from 1995.
Hyundai has been trying their best in trying to create an environmental friendly cars. They were able to manage in creating the carts that were electrically charged. However, if they could have also took into consideration the amount of gas being produced as they work on the cars, the work could have been even be more successful.
A lot of the citizens have been claiming that whenever they have to walk or drive past the factory, they have seen a lot of black colored gas being taken to the air. How can you guys work in order to solve this problem?
South Korean citizens living in Seoul
Massive amount of trash was disposed by citizens.
To prove this, the ministry of Environment have been calculating the amount of garbage being discomposed. The graph shows that the amount of garbage being discomposed has decreased but the amount of food waste has been increasing rapidly.
It shouldn't always be the governments that works for the environment. Government provides all the possible actions we all can take for the environment. However, if the citizens's don't take the provided possible actions, but first want to protest. There is no way the environment to become better.
Q. How can South Korean governments prove that they have been working for environmental issues.
We understand that South Korean citizens have been experiencing a lot of pollutions. We are currently working our way to create a world that only leaves positive effects to our citizens and our environment.
A. We have been working on the Paris Agreement and persuade the citizens to follow all the laws for the environment. The Paris Agreement is a global agreement to help protect the Earth from climate change. The ministry of the South Korean government has acknowledged the law and has been working their way to the goal of the Paris Agreement.
Korean Federation Environmental Movement
Is there any other way the citizens think that the government can work for the environment?
Q. Can government help with more citizens taking action with us?
A. Governments can and can't help. The South Korean government can help the KFEM on informing the citizens about KFEM through new or Cheongwadae website. The South Korean government can't help the KFEM because KFEM is N.G.G meaning they are responsible for their own action and has to work by themselves in order to work themselves up.
My Q. What are some ways that they have been helping for the environment?
Citizens have claimed the poor ability to inform them about the movement
There wasn't big difference between each year in taking action and most citizens weren't informed about the movement.
Were the of the goals successful?
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
How did the IPCC kept in record with all the actions and the changes being made each year?
Were the goals successful?
Can IPCC work better on cooperating with the South Korean government, since it is an intergovernmental system and has to be in hand of the South Korean government.
The rate of waste has shown great changes since 2016. 2016 was the year South Korea got a chance on signing the Paris Agreement.
Different parts of South Korea has been working hard on finding creative, easy, and sustainable ways to prevent climate change. They have created RFID card and created the schedule of on which days to recycle what. The citizens easily followed along the actions the governments wanted the citizens to take. Changes were shown and the ministry of environment is very curious about the outcome of these solutions.
We understand that KFEM has to try their best in helping parts of South Korea, where changes were needed relating to Environment. We understand that KFEM has been trying their best finding more people to join their movement in order to protect the environment in South Korea with more high probability to save the environment.
Not many citizens were able to join the movement
Can some parts change?
Report the changes to the South Korean government immediately
Find more creative ways for the citizens to have more passion in following in
South Korean government
Paris Agreement
Laws
Creative Ideas
We believe that developing South Korea into place where we welcome our citizens and protect our environment.
South Korean government sees the Cheongwadae board (protest board) and has forums to solve the issues that were listed in the board.
I think the South Korean government should work more as a proactive government, making better prevention for the sake of the citizens, Paris Agreement they have signed to, and to protect UNESCO heritage. Till now, the South Korean government has been working as reactionary government, meaning they take action whenever a big problem occurs. Some of the laws South Korea and local areas of South Korea has created are effective and some are not. Overall, the South Korea government is not doing so well for the environment.
