Program leaning more CS-focus

"Not being to pressure into and just let me enjoy it . I know the importance but also feel like y'all just what us to follow this path and not our own. Why not ask the same questions for all classes, maybe if the program wasn't so bias towards cs more people would think about going into a cs career.

Perceived as boring

The reason why I am not really that interested is the fact that, although I did apply myself almost all of the time, I do find this subject incredibly boring, and very inapplicable to MY life. Although I do feel comfortable solving problems in the COMMUNITY with the things that I learned, I still find it very boring.

Opportunities

Office Hours

If office hours were available, I would've definitely taken advantage of them.

External websites

More programming websites to help us understand it better like a khan academy for computer programming.

Pedagogy

Everything is fine just maybe more description on how the code is functioning and fewer tests.

It would be more interesting if we were taught more on how computer science can be fun and not like a boring job that everyone thinks it really is.

Self-paced

Learning it myself, and actually understanding it more.

Different experience level

I was rally wishing that SMASH would provide the basics when it comes to computing, because right now the class is hard because we're all at different levels. If the curriculum was set forstudent with different levels on CS, I feel like our test scores would be a lot better.

AY CS Classes

If SMASH offred me more CS classes after so that i can practice throughout the year.

office hours or more individual study time with the instructor

One on one time/check in's are really helpful

Having more websites or resources to learn more about it from.

Taking courses that go at a slower pace so I can take my time to learn concepts

If he didn't stare so much and get so close to me

More helpful online resources that could help us with our programming.

Time away from the computer

What would make me more interested in pursuing computer science in high school and college is if you weren't always working with a computer.

The teacher was not considerate of his students at all. He would move on on topics we didn't understand and be unfair to certain students. This experience was a roller coaster. Personally, the class was not worth 5 weeks. I can't ever see myself coding with p5. It was so irrelevant to what I want to pursue. Overall it was not a good experience and lpfi should just change the curriculum to JavaScript, c++, or python. Somethig worth the while that we may perhaps need in the future.

Curriculum Suggestions

Learning more about game design and C++ and Javascript

If we treated something that actually apply to my community right now, not in the future, or if I create something I actually want to create like a game.

To make a game in high school.
