Colour
Emotion
The colour of an image can change the emotion of the viewer as it can alter the feelings connoted. For example an image in monochrome would convey a less energetic or positive emotion than an image with vibrant colours. Another example would be the different emotions that are conveyed through singular colours, with colours like blue giving off more sad or negative feelings whereas colours such as yellow would convey more positive or happy emotions.
Selective Colour
This type of photography is achieved in post production as the image composition is changed as everything in the image will be changed to monochrome excluding one object or colour, selected by the editor.
This method of photo creation will shift the viewers focus to the one object that is in colour and will cause them to firstly overlook or ignore the other elements
This will fit into my these of 'The choice of colour as I will in the most literal sense be choosing my colours composing my image.
Landscape
In landscape photography the choice of colour is much more limited as there is little alterations possible to make for the colour presence.
However, I can still select my framing for the shot and create a mixture of other elements of colour such as emotion or selective colour in landscape images.
Portraiture
In portraiture there will be a lot of choice in my colour as I will be able to choose my framing, the subject's clothing and subject.
This could refer to my chosen topic as the subject of the image is not the only think in frame or in focus, the landscape would also still make up the majority of my shot giving a lot of chances to select my colour despite the portraiture form.
