Episodic memory is your memory for events (episodes) from your life. It's your memory for the things you have done and experiences you have had. For example, a visit to the dentist, a gig you went to last week, your birthday party when you were only 7, and so on.
You recall the time and place of such episodes. You may also remember who else was there, or what happened before or afterward, and you may also remember when what you felt about it. So these memories are 'time-stamped'.
