A concept which explains that we see ourselves reflected in other people’s reactions to us and then form our self-concept based on how we believe other people see us
Ex)
For example, you heard“You’re a good listener,” from people around you, and then you may think, “I’m glad that people can count on me to listen to their problems.”
Ex) For example, you might consider yourself a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, a Southerner, or a member of the track team.

Ex) For example, I am not very good at drawing. While I appreciate drawing as an art form, I don’t consider drawing ability to be a very big part of my self-concept.

Self-Efficacy
Ex) Someone thinks himself as a good public speaker, and get's compliment from others, so his expectations and ability enhanced.
Self-discrepancy theory
Self-discrepancy theory states that people have beliefs about and expectations for their actual and potential selves that do not always match up with what they actually experience.
