ART 23 :Prohibition of Traffic in Human Beings and Forced
Labour
PROTECTION FROM STATE AND PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFICKING:
SELLING AND BUYING OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN
IMMORAL TRAFFIC IN WOMEN AND
CHILDREN, INCLUDING PROSTITUTION
DEVADASIS;
SLAVERY.
TO ENFORCE THIS PARLIAMENT ENACTED IMMORAL TRAFFIC (PREVENTION) ACT
BEGAR(FORCED LABOUR)
MEANS COMPULSORY WORK WITHOUT REMUNERATION
ALSO INCLUDE BONDED LABOUR(LABOUR W/O WILL)
EXCEPTION:
STATE CAN IMPOSE COMPULSORY SERVICE FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES, AS FOR EXAMPLE,
MILITARY SERVICE OR SOCIAL SERVICE, FOR WHICH IT IS NOT BOUND TO PAY

Prohibition of Employment of Children in Factories
ARTICLE 24 PROHIBITS THE EMPLOYMENT OF CHILDREN BELOW THE AGE OF 14 YEARS IN ANY HAZARDOUS ACTIVITY
BUT NO PROHIBTION IN HARMLESS OR INNOCENT WORK
