Pain or tenderness worse with standing/walking; relieved with elevation
Elevated D-dimer
Localized swelling, warmth, &/or redness
Positive duplex ultrasonography
Possibly asymptomatic
Invasive treatment
Endophlebectomy
Valvuloplasty
Stent/filter placement
Conservative treatment
IV &/or PO anticoagulant therapy
Bedrest
Prevention: weight reduction & physical exercise
