- - - - Renal corpuscle: only in cortex. Consists of capillaries, glomerulus surrounded by glomerular capsule. Glomerulus' endothelium is fenestrated, allowing fluid to pass from blood to capsular space- formation of filtrate.
      - Renal tubule:
        
        Nephron loop
        
        Distal convoluted tubule: specialized for selective secretion and resorption of ions
        
        Proximal convoluted tubule: most active in resorption and secretion (contain microvilli)
        
        Collecting duct: receives urine from nephron and runs it to deep medulla to form larger papillary duct
