METHODS OF PRODUCTION
JOB- One product is made at a time, can be made to customer specification, usually a unique product made using highly skilled staff, labor intensive.
BATCH- Identical products are made in groups , machinery can be changed between batches to made different products
FLOW- Products made continuously on an assembly line, at each stage of production something else is added onto the product, all products are exactly the same.

QUALITY STANDARDS- awards given to firms to know that the quality has been approved, often done by the BSI

CAPITAL INTENSIVE PRODUCTION- Using a lot of machinery in the production process. AUTOMATION- Machinery completely replaced workers. MECHANIZATION- Mix of human and machine workers.
