More types of embedding
Celloidin Embedding
1) The tissue is dehydrated in alcohol, then transferred from absolute alcohol to a dilute solution of celloidin
2) As the alcohol and ether evaporate, they are replaced by more concentrated celloidin

Epoxy Embedding
Advantages: reduced artifacts due to shrinkage and also has allowed thinner sectioning than was possible with paraffin
Embedding is when tissue are passed through melted paraffin and becomes saturated with embedding agent
Paraffin wax is a polycrystalline mixture of solid hydrocarbons produced during the refining of coal and mineral oils
