Culture
Part 2
Culture relays on on the same language so if certain things can be translated like music that song or artist will reach different areas and different cultures because they speak other languages. If a culture is spoken mainly in one language say madrid then it would be harder for someone who speaks english and only english to know more about that culture unless there was someone who could translate the language
Some people organize language like a tree the leaves being languages connected through ancestral languages, branches being the same as the leaves just the ancestral language wouldn't be as far back in time, and the tree trunk would be languages that are similar and connections in the past are more recent than culture groups like the branches or leaves
For example in the U.S. english is thought to be the biggest and sometimes the only language spoken in the U.S. even though there are many more languages within the U.S. but because of the mass of speakers that speak english over run the rest of the country and even though we don’t have an official language in the U.S. english is so popular in the U.S. thats what its thought to be
Because in culture if we didn’t all speak the same language or at least know how to translate the different languages the culture would spread as fast and not as many people would know about it. With National identity language is important because if you were going to take a trip to let's say mexico you should probably know at least some basic spanish so that you can communicate with the spanish speaking people.
Language unifies people if you know how to speak the same language as them because you would be able to have a conversation with them even if it is a basic conversation you and that person could bond just a little bit. It can also separate people because if someone doesn’t know any of another language they wouldn’t be able to communicate and the only thought those people would have of each other would be, that was the person who had no clue about what I was saying instead of having a conversation with that person
Because of their being language boundaries culture can’t spread like it might be able to if everything was the same about how people speak because then we could connect more with other cultures
Part 3
Most religions are organized in areas because of places that are sacred for that religion. Religion are organized a lot like languages where the trunk would be christianity, the branches would be like protestant and catholic and the leaves would be even smaller groups within the branches. Most religions have the same thing. Religions overall are organized by afterlife, holy book, prayer, and god if there is one
Universalizing religions are targeting a mass of people instead of ethnic religions which target one group of people. Universalizing religions appeal better to more people because that's what they were made to do so it spreads faster than an ethnic religion. One religion that is a universalizing religion would be christianity and an ethnic religion would be hinduism.

Territorial conflicts arise because the world puts boundaries over boundaries so within the new boundaries all of the issues that were there and dormant arise because now one has to control the new larger boundary and sooner of later an outsider will come in and try and take over
Women in most religions are not of any power and if they do have power there is not a lot as the years pass the rights of women within religion are becoming more and more powerful though. Today there is only one religion where women have absolutely no power and that is hinduism
part 1
Culture is a belief or a way that you life your life and it comes from everything you do. Folk cultures origin is usually unknown unlike pop culture which you can usually pin point to a specific place or person.
Just music itself will influence our lives largely and how we go about our life because if they are our role models we will most likely act more and more like those people. Food might close us out from other options, like say that your culture eats a lot of beef and that's mostly it you will be less likely to chose foods other than beef because you like it and that's what you're used to
The arts of manifests of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively. To me the arts of manifests would be our skills and traits. Human intellect would be how we think about certain things and then the collectively would mean in a group
Globalizations does a little of both. It will tear cultures apart because maybe part of a culture does not agree with what another part of the same culture. It will bring cultures together because if one of those culture were to split they would probably funnel off into different cultures. So really in the start part of a culture will break off and join a new culture making the new culture biggers.
definition of culture
I think that the biggest part in defining is understanding the the sub division which is pop and folk culture. Folk culture itself is more of a mystery no one really knows where it came from but it is a culture passed down from generations before you. Pop culture on the other hand is something that is almost mass produced and something a lot of people do that is meant to spread. Some examples would be food music and sports. Culture is a belief, thought or action that is spread in some way shape or form. Some of the ways earlham has culture is within our sports system, another would be the food we are served at lunch, and the music they play either on friday or in or band.
