Barcode Recorders

Who + what uses this: Loyalty schemes - Products bought by the shopper are scanned + linked to the shopper's unique loyalty scheme number.
- Supermarkets can identify which goods the shopper buy + use this information to target offers/discounts/money-off vouchers.
Scan + shop -members of loyalty scheme scan their own products .
- Data about their shopping transferred to a checkout + linked to their loyalty scheme number.
Stock control - When a product is sold the the barcode is used to remove the quantity from stock database.
- If a new are delivered, the barcode is used to add the quantity into the stock database.

- Advertising - this code is found on magazines
- the code can be read/scanned by the smart phone using an app.
