What are universalizing religions and ethnic religions? Why does one reach more people than the other? Provided examples of both.
Geographers made two main types of religion which are universalizing religions, religions that want to be more inclusive and global so they change to appeal to many groups of people, and ethnic religions, who appeal to mainly one specific group living in one specific place. An example of universalizing religion is Christianity because they try and make themselves appeal to everyone, no matter where they live or anything. An example of ethnic religion is a religion that someone believes in, but may not be popular for us to know all about it.
When you compare major religions, what are 3-5 commonalities?
Some things that the major religions have in common is that they all believe and pray to one God. They also all have a book or reading that they practice from and follow. Another thing they all have in common is that they attend service or go to a mass where they pray and talk about their religion with other members of their community.

Does globalization bring cultures together, force them further apart, or both? Explain.
I think it brings them together and forces them apart. I think this because good ideas like an invention or medicine or music even can be spread and the love for those things can bring people together. They will have stuff to talk about like their ideas and thoughts about it. It can also force people apart if they don’t have the same ideas. If there’s enough conflict about a certain thing like segregation for example, enough people will stand up and argue about the rights and there will be wars.
Defining Culture
Culture, to me, is how things are in your region. Some examples would be the music we listen to, the way we dress and the foods we eat. Earlham High School has its own culture that is very different from other schools, in my experience. Earlham has a very quiet but welcoming mood. This is mainly because at the school and in the community we are encouraged to be kind and accepting. We also have extremely good athletes meaning that we are hardworking and driven to be the best and win but also to have good team working skills. We also have different lunches then other schools because of things like our budget or where we buy our ingredients.
