Jetski Ride
Take Control of Situation
Excited because haven't seen family friends in a while
Gary, Shannon, Cassidy, Trip Dickey
never been to the lake
All the things we did:
lots of boat rides
swimming
jumping off the boat in the lake
walks to get ice cream and donuts
jetski was broken :(
we tried to start the jetski many times, but it wouldn't start until finally it started.
fishing
games
tubing
maui mat
bonfire
boating to PM Park
movie nights
After lots of convincing, Cassidy finally agreed to go on the jetski with just me
scared because her mom wasn't going to come with her
scared of falling in
made sure we had the right size life jacket
couldn't go very fast
told parents to watch us through telescope just in case anything happens
scared of the water
Jetski stopped moving and shut off first time
scared Cassidy
was able to turn it back on and start heading back to the house
stopped again 1 more time, still was able to turn it back on
Jetski stopped again
in the middle of the lake
this time wasn't able to turn it back on
Cassidy was really scared this time
tried multiple times to turn it back on
what are we going to do now?

tried to wave towards the direction of the house, maybe parents will see us through telescope
tried to wave at boats zooming by to help us
too far away for them to see us without looking through the telescope
waving for a while.... how long????

Cassidy still scared, tried to calm her down
Finally we see a boat that looked like ours coming towards us
hoping it was my dad
it was!
threw a rope at us and we hooked it on the jetski
towed us back to the house
Parents forgot to watch us
finally remembered and looked through and saw us sitting on the jetski waving at them
Dad and Gary got in our boat, grabbed a rope and headed to get us
I learned sometimes I have to step up and take control of the situation
Cassidy was very scared
Have always been with people older than me: Youngest in family, brother's friends
